ADAM HARTLEY

Adam Hartley is a criminal defence lawyer recognised for his strategic, detail-oriented advocacy and disciplined courtroom presence.

He acts exclusively for individuals facing criminal proceedings, with a particular focus on complex and high-stakes matters.

Adam approaches each case with precision, ensuring that all available avenues of defence are carefully examined, advised and rigorously pursued.

Prior to entering private practice, Adam gained valuable frontline experience in both law enforcement and prosecution. His service with the Queensland Police Service provides him with practical insight into investigative processes, police decision-making, and the collection of evidence.

He later worked with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Qld), where he developed a detailed understanding of how criminal matters are assessed, prepared, and prosecuted. This dual perspective—both investigative and prosecutorial—enables Adam to identify weaknesses in the Crown case at an early stage, particularly in relation to admissibility, procedural compliance, and evidentiary sufficiency.

In addition to his legal career, Adam served in the Australian Army, undertaking multiple warlike and peacekeeping deployments. He maintains a strong commitment to representing veterans, particularly those who find themselves involved in criminal proceedings arising from or connected to their service.
